SPChk - 4D Mac OSX demo installation notes

Installing the SPChk demo on Mac OSX requires that you install the SPChk demo compiled 4D application, the cocoAspell application and a small SPChk-Aspell configuration file.

These have been prepared as three separate downloads.

Installer resources for Mac OS 10.3

  1. SPChk - click here to download a .sit file containing the SPChk compiled demo database and associated files. This can be placed anywhere on your target Mac OSX computer. This version only works on Mac OSX 10.3
  2. cocoAspell application installer - Click here - Follow the instructions for the /Library install. Minimum installation requires Spelling.prefPane in the /Library/PreferencePanes folder.
  3. SPChk - Aspell config files - click here to download a .sit file containing some sample configuration files for SPChk dictionary support. For this demo, the spchken.conf file must be placed in your /Library/Services folder.
  4. Non-English cocoAspell dictionaries if desired. If you require non-English support, then you can download and install from here. Click on the Dictionaries link and then follow the instructions and install the dictionaries you require. Note that the SPChk demo is only delivered with English support. If you wish to try a non-English demo, please contact Nufocus Inc.
